Greetings and thank you for your interest in our unit and reenacting. Company "A" of the
26th Georgia Infantry is a veteran group of reenactors. The company we portray is "The
Brunswick Riflemen" .
Our home base is Brunswick Georgia. Our members live in all parts of the state as well as
South Carolina. We are part of the Georgia Volunteer Battalion.
We welcome all new comers to the reenacting life. As part of our unit you will have the
chance to participate in large scale battles on the National and Regional level. We also
participate in small reenactments and living histories. We work with several historic sites
and do living history encampments at various times of the year.
Once you elect to fall in with our company you will be trained as a soldier of the 1860s.
You will live during the events as a soldier of the Confederacy. The equipment you use will
be the same as was used in the 1860s. From the uniform to the tin cup everything in use is
documented as authentic. All of the drills on the field and maneuvre of the company are the
same as was used by the soldiers on the battle fields. You will see thousands of soldiers
both blue and grey. The sights and sounds of a major civil war engagement are yours to be
part of. The depth of participation in the events can transform you away from the modern
world and for a time you will believe your in 1860s America. When you have a chance to
be in a line of battle with no modern intrusions you will understand why so many are part
of this pastime. Be part of the 150th anniversary of the civil war . Don't stand on the
